This is Family Feud style, so the most common responses get the most weight.** As a young girl, Princess Prunus was far more rambunctious than her siblings, frequently finding herself in all sorts of scrapes and misadventures. Her disregard for the mores and concerns of the court were matched only by her fierce competitiveness. She had an uncanny knack for escaping the oversight of her caretakers and running off to engage in competitions with the local fey, bringing back strange trinkets (which she called 'upvotes') for her accomplishments. It's well known that fey competitions favor style and flair as much as raw skill; many in the court attributed the young princess' brashness to these excursions. As Prunus became a teenager, a strange transformation overcame her- she began disregarding her more disreputable interests in favor of learning to be ladylike. Her parent's delight soon soured as it turned out Prunus was less interested in being a proper lady and more interested in beating her older sister at her older sister's favorite hobbies. Prunus often brought her own unique- and sometimes tomboyish- flair to the beauty contests where she and her sister competed. Compared to the much more conventional competition, Prunus' boldness easily stood out. She gained a reputation for embodying and satirizing the hallmarks of what it meant to be a princess- from chainmail bikini photo ops on top of hoards of dragon gold down to sassy talking dog she kept in her purse. At the height of her career, Prunus was shockingly kidnapped. No one quite knows what happened to her, other than that she's been held captive for 70 years. While her sister still purportedly hopes to rescue Prunus, many people have noted that the Queen's attempts have been... not very impressive. ==== Reader Responses ==== CaminanteNocturno- //"I love the pseudo-collaborative idea. I mean if I vote A it's basically Shrek but it has more potential for immediate payoff than B, though B could have more internal character development (guilt! repentance! redemption!) but that is hard to make comedy out of. Not impossible, but hard. And C... well it could have potential but that does trend toward the ""liar revealed"" plot that is so annoying - though if he was upfront from the beginning about the bet it could be fun to watch them work together to pull off the con to win the bet. So I'm going with C on 2 conditions: 1. The Princess is totally in on it and 2. There's a solid touch of Donna Noble in her Her motivation: Maybe the guy who Trolly made the bet with has information on who locked her up in the first place. She wants to find out who would be plotting against her family to destabilize the monarchy. More like sassy BFF co-conspirator. **10 votes.** ==== Bonus* ==== **What is the one thing the Troll Knight would never turn his back on?** There are two things the Troll Knight loves more than anything else: drinking cheap liquor and showing off his buff body. Usually at the same time. As a kid, the Troll Knight dreamed of becoming an adventurer. As he grew older, he learned some harsh truths. Life is rough for trolls who want to become adventurers- there are a lot of obstacles that have to be overcome. While not the first troll to be certified as an adventurer by the Council of the Chosen, the Troll Knight is one of the few. Even as a certified adventurer, he rarely gets the same quality of jobs that his peers do. It's enough to offer a meager amount of support for his family. The Troll Knight worked his way through the Hero Academy by taking jobs as an exotic dancer at various clubs.
